Tomatoes and tomato products have always been a natural part of our diet. Recent research shows that processed tomatoes are good for our health thanks to a high content of lycopene.

There has been an explosion of new and refined processed tomato products in the last twenty years. Purées and passata have become major products together with classics like ketchup, tomato paste, chilli sauces and pasta sauces with chunky pieces of olives and ricotta cheese.
